South East Asia: Headline - Thailand positions Bangkok as Asia media centre
Thailand is inviting global broadcasters to set up shop in the newly-built MCOT International building as part of a drive to turn the country into a regional hub for foreign media. Japan's NHK, China's CCTV, France's TV5 and Korea's KBS have agreed to so, and negotiations are ongoing with others.
