Previously a 50/50 joint venture between Lemon Asia and Equus, the new Equus Interactive will continue to market Lemon's online products and will also function as a rep office for Lemon in the region. All Lemon Singapore staff have been transferred to Equus Interactive.
"Basically, it allows us to give a more seamless offer," said Equus Interactive partner Alex Mucha. "It makes a lot more sense to clients when we are under one banner."
The formation of Equus Interactive comes after Equus Design closed down its Hong Kong office after six years in the city. One of the Hong Kong office's four staff has shifted to the Singapore office, while three have departed. "We see our focus as being down in Southeast Asia," explained Mucha.
The agency has also re-entered Indonesia after a gap of seven years, to capitalise on the improved economic environment in that country.
Earlier this year, Lemon Asia integrated its company into the Communication Central Group, focusing on Hong Kong and China.
