HONG KONG: Sony has walked off as the biggest winner of the

JCDecaux Pearl & Dean-organised Mass Transit Railway Creative Awards,

which was held after a one-year hiatus.

The Japanese consumer electronics giant beat more than 400 entries to

win two silver awards for its Sony So-net 'Smooth' poster promoting a

broadband service and Sony CMD-Z28 mobile phone 'Seat' and 'Car'

campaign.

The two campaigns were developed by Grey Worldwide and Dentsu Young &

Rubicam respectively.

No gold awards were given out because entries fell short of the mark,

according to the judging panel.

The judges included Leo Burnett Hong Kong/China chairman and executive

creative director, Eddie Booth; D'Arcy Hong Kong ECD Marc Lucas; Market

Catalyst chief creative officer, Christine Pong; and Just Gold's chief

executive Iris Chung.
