SoHo hits brands as single group to rival LKF offer

Restaurants and bars located in the city's SoHo entertainment district have banded together to set up Venue Alliance.

The group -- whose key competitor is neighbouring Lan Kwai Fong bar and restaurant district, managed by the Lan Kwai Fong Group -- will now be presented as a single body to potential advertisers. With 28 members, it will offer street advertising and area branding spanning banners, costumes, coaster, in-venue marketing, lucky draws, area branding and daily collection programmes, allowing brands to reach consumers in SoHo. Venue Alliance, led by Stuart Squibb, who runs Fluid Design and Marketing, has signed up Sony for the promotion of its brand message in the district. "The exciting concept behind the alliance is not just the broad scope of integrated independent venues working together as a single platform, but also the vast knowledge and professional skills that the local business community of SoHo brings to the group," said Squibb. "The Alliance brings the backing of professional advisors such as international marketing experts, talented chefs, events and staging experts, film producers, top wine and fine dining experts, renowned artists and professional communications experts."
