This continues a successful global partnership between the communications agency and the thought-leadership event that began at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in 2010 and following up with a seminar in 2011.
In Malaysia, TEDxKL is now into its third year, and this year’s theme will be ‘We have a secret’, looking at everyday people, objects, and subjects which seem ordinary but can be somewhat extra ordinary.
SMG Malaysia will help to promote the event among national and regional media outlets and will be providing cash sponsorship plus TV inventory to publicize TEDxKL.
The event will feature Secretary-General of the United Nations Association of Singapore, Yap Kwong Weng, unity advocate Anas Zubedy, and magician cum mentalist Zlwin Chew - in an eclectic list of speakers which also includes a white-hat hacker, a marine biologist and turtle conservationist, an award-winning poet, a contemporary arts dancer, and a chef who cooks for Presidents and Bollywood stars.
Another special guest from Singapore, Durreen Shahnaz, founder and chairperson of Impact Investment Exchange and one of the selected 25 TED fellows who spoke at TED 2010 in Long Beach, California, will also be presenting.
