The Thomson Dishwasher 3-D taxi-top ad created by Lowe &
Partners/Monsoon Advertising has won top honours at the Comfort Ads
Creative Competition in Singapore.
The advertising won because of the unique approach adopted in
demonstrating the effectiveness of the appliance in washing dishes.
The panel featured the inside of the dishwasher with blue water
streaming out of the top over real cutlery every time the taxis driver
stepped on the brakes.
The Lowe/Monsoon team behind the ad included creative group head Kelvin
Pereira; art director Kelvin Lim and copywriter Troy Lim.
Runners-up were: Lowe & Partners/Monsoon Advertising for its
"Anti-Smoking " campaign for the Singapore Ministry of Health and TBWA's
"Samsonite" campaign.
Comfort Ads initiated the competition to promote taxi advertising in
Singapore and winners are eligible to compete in the transit category in
the Cannes competition.
