SK Broadband calls pitch to announce presence in Korea

SEOUL - Two agencies, including TBWA and local shop Daehong Communications, are competing for the creative account of recently established internet-based telecom company SK Broadband in Korea.

The company is seeking an agency partner to develop a launch campaign to generate awareness of the brand, which offers IPTV and internet calling facilities, in the domestic market.

SK Broadband is the result of the 1.09 trillion won acquisition last year by SK Telecom, South Korea’s largest mobile carrier, of broadband service provider Hanaro Telecom, which saw SK assume a 38.89 stake in the Seoul-based firm.
