Siva takes top job at Grey Group PR Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Grey Group has promoted head of corporate practice Raymond Siva (pictured) to the role of acting head. He replaces Chong Wei-Hsiang who left the agency to join Naga DDB's PR arm earlier this month (Media 4 July).

Siva has five months to hit a series of performance targets. If he meets them he will take on the top job permanently. A similar agreement applied for Nicky Lim, who was promoted to CEO of Grey Group Malaysia last year following the departure of Kapil Sethi (Media 9 October 2007).

"It was an unexpected promotion," said Siva. "I will face a period of evaluation, as is normal for the company, and see if I can take the agency to the next level."

Siva joined Grey Group in 2006, and has since helped the agency secure new business with the likes of Shell, FedEx and ESPN Star Sports.

"Over the next five months I will need to consolidate our relationships with existing clients as a number of contracts will expire during this time," he added.

"I also want to see us secure more clients on the consumer side, while expanding our corporate business."
