SingTel pitch aims for integrated goal

SINGAPORE - SingTel has underlined the need for a partner who can reach across multiple touchpoints, as agencies prepare to answer requests for information (RFI) for its creative account, estimated at S$30 million (US$20 million).

“We’re looking for an agency that can optimise a creative idea with innovation and new technology,” said Sherie Ng, SingTel director of brand experience.

The pitch, managed by R3, is open to all agencies who submit an RFI by 28 September. SingTel will later send out requests for proposals (RFP), with the entire process set to take about four months.

Meanwhile, SingTel’s Australian subsidiary, Optus, has included George Patterson Y&R, Clemenger BBDO and Leo Burnett in its own review. However, Ng denied that the shortlisted agencies would have an advantage in the Singapore pitch.
