Singh takes charge of Universal McCann China

SHANGHAI - Manpreet Singh has been appointed CEO of the troubled Universal McCann China operation, after departing Mindshare Group Singapore (Media, 9 November 2006).

Singh’s arrival follows the departure of former Universal McCann China MD Torie Henderson, who left the agency for OMD last year. Universal has endured a difficult period in the Mainland, losing L'Oréal, Novartis, Nestlé and Johnson & Johnson over the past 18 months.

Singh arrives at the agency after 11 years with the MindShare Singapore. "It’s perfectly clear that China is a critical battleground for media innovation and ROI, so I am relishing the challenge and looking forward to being part of the Universal McCann network,” he said.
