Singapore's Barracuda merges with Tropical
Local creative agency Barracuda Pacific is in the process of merging its operations with Tropical Communications. According to Tropical chairman Chiu Liu Chian, "almost all" of Barracuda's clients are being absorbed into Tropical, along with "four to five" members of the eight-person agency, including director Puspa Nathan. "We thought it would give us a bigger critical mass and volume, and hopefully better revenue," said Chiu, who added that the Barracuda name would cease to exist. Nathan declined to disclose further details.
