Singapore wins three events from Naseba

SINGAPORE Singapore has clinched three conferences organised by events company Naseba for 2006. Naseba organised the recent MICE Asia Executive Congress in the Lion City and has decided to bring more events to the island. At press time it could not confirm if Singapore would remain the host for MICE Asia Executive Congress 2006 but it has confirmed that out of the three events it is bringing to Singapore, one of these will be Global Route Development Congress in September 2006.

The event will involve senior airline executives who will meet with global airport officials. The last event took place in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. Speaking about plans for next year's MICE Asia Executive Congress, Naseba event producer Chris White said: "We strategically restricted the number of vendors to 20 for the first edition. "For 2006, we will expand this to 40. We will also increase the number of buyers from 120 to 200." More than 90 per cent of attending buyers requested an invitation to next year's event and 50 per cent of buyers also requested an invitation to the third MICE Europe Congress taking place in Monaco this November. Said White: "Across Asia Pacific there are a huge number of locations with superb hotels and conference facilities, Singapore being one of them. We will be using some of these for Naseba events." "However, the Singapore Tourist Board's passion for their country, energy and professionalism make them great partners and hosts for any event and that is why we will always consider them for our events," White said.
