Singapore watch retailer gears for Asia promotions

Local agency Crush has won the regional brief for watch retailer Cortina Watch after presenting an integrated service offer with its public relations firm Bang and event management company Boom.

Crush has been tasked to develop and launch a regional advertising campaign for Cortina Watch, beginning with Singapore and then extending to Malaysia and Thailand. Marketing activity in Thailand is slated to begin when Cortina launches its store there later this year. Rose Tong, marketing manager for Cortina Watch, said: "We were attracted to Crush because they could provide an integrated service." Joseph Edwards, chief, client services at Crush, said: "The proposition of an integrated communication campaign with Bang and Boom meant that we could adopt a holistic approach to brand-building. " Nielsen estimates Cortina spent S$124,000 (US$72,000) in Singapore and Malaysia last year.
