Singapore Tourism Board appoints BLKJ Havas as creative agency

BBH is the incumbent.

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has appointed BLKJ Havas as its creative agency of record, effective March 3, following a competitive pitch managed by Ebiquity. As part of the remit, the  agency will oversee integrated strategy across creative, digital, media, and communications.

The tenure is valid for two years with the option to extend for up to three years. BBH held the incumbent account.

Campaign understands that the shortlist included TBWA Singapore, Publicis Singapore, and Ogilvy Singapore, alongside BLKJ Havas.

In a statement released to press, assistant chief executive, marketing group, STB said: “BLKJ Havas demonstrated good strategic thinking, fresh creative direction and nimble data-driven insights in their approach to strategy development and implementation. They have assembled a team with the right experience and tools to elevate our creative campaigns. In a crowded space, cutting through the noise requires exceptional creative vision."

Under the remit, BLKJ Havas will support STB's Tourism 2040 marketing roadmap to develop creative concepts to boost Singapore's profile as a global destination.

The STB win adds to BLKJ Havas' existing portfolio of government and public sector clients, which includes Republic of Singapore Air Force, Early Childhood Development Agency, and National Gallery Singapore.

Earlier in February, Edelman secured the Singapore Tourism Board's PR mandate following a competitive pitch, beating out AKA Asia, Ogilvy, and WE Communications for the account. Edelman's contract runs two years and two months, with the option to extend for three years.
