Singapore proves skills with historic 17,000-strong Herbalife Extravaganza

SINGAPORE Asia's Lion City has hosted its biggest corporate event ever with the 2007 Herbalife Asia Pacific Extravaganza on July 19 to 22 at Singapore Expo.

The four-day event, which consisted of a series of workshops, meetings, seminars

and teambuilding activities, drew close to 17,000 delegates from 14 countries in Asia Pacific.

Singapore has a long-standing relationship with Herbalife International as it also hosted the 13,000-strong extravaganza in 2003.

Dato Dr Ronie Tan, vicepresident and managing director of Herbalife Malaysia and Singapore, said: “Herbalife chose Singapore for a variety of reasons.

“Singapore is an ideal location because of its strong infrastructure and connectivity,

which allows us to run largescale events such as these.

“The support from the Singapore Tourism Board was also a key factor in the decision to hold our events here.”

Aloysius Arlando, assistant chief executive, business travel and MICE group at Singapore Tourism Board, said: “We are very honoured that Herbalife chose Singapore as a destination for the 2007 Asia Pacific Extravaganza and for their next event, Herbalife Honors, which will be held in March next year.

“Hosting the 2007 Herbalife Asia Pacific Extravaganza reaffirms Singapore’s position as an exchange capital in Asia and the world.”
