Singapore nets BikeAsia 2008

SINGAPORE The inaugural BikeAsia 2008 - the first exhibition in Asia dedicated entirely to bicycles, motorcycles and accessories - will be held from April 10 to 13, 2008 at Singapore Expo.

The first two days of the show will be trade-only while consumers will be admitted

on the last two days. The show will occupy 20,000 sqm at Halls 3 and 4.

BikeAsia is a joint venture between EICMA, organiser of the world’s largest bicycle and

motorcycle show in Milan, and Innovative Exhibition from Singapore.

Singex facilitated the deal with its New Trade Show Launch Scheme, offering a 30% discount in hall rental rates.

The venue has been courting European and western organisers to hold Asian editions of

established shows through the scheme.

Singex believes the number of events hosted and anchored at Singapore Expo can expand

because of its flexible, multipurpose halls.

Roberto Fabbri, managing director of Bike Asia, said: “Singex were understanding and

flexible in their approach towards our business.

“They have strong expertise in the industry and a supportive and enthusiastic team spirit.”
