Singapore Management University appoints Y&R Singapore

SINGAPORE - Singapore Management University (SMU) has appointed Y&R as its creative agency for a through-the-line admissions drive in Singapore next year, following a five-way pitch.

The WPP firm has been tasked to oversee communications to promote the university to A-level, polytechnic and overseas students as part of a 2009 undergraduate admissions campaign.

"SMU is fortunate that five agencies took the challenge to us seriously and put in some enthralling pieces of work," said Alan Goh, director of undergraduate admissions for SMU.

Predominantly known as a business school, SMU’s 2008 intake of over 1,660 students was its largest to date since its incorporation in 2000.
