Singapore GP in talks with creative agencies

SINGAPORE - Singapore GP, the company in charge of Formula One, has been speaking to advertising agencies to appoint to its creative account.

A formal pitch is not expected, according to sources. “The creative account is small,” said one source. “Most of the money will go to media buys.” MEC picked up the media account earlier this month.

Magdalene Ew, sales and marketing director, Singapore GP, confirmed that “negotiations” with the agencies are underway but stated that the company is looking for more than one agency to manage the account.

“Given our requirement to adhere to existing F1 creative guidelines, we will be working with a number of local and international specialist agencies for the different creative demands of the business,” she explained.
The company recently awarded its PR business to Singapore-based agency Fulford PR.

The debut race, F1’s first-ever night race, will take place on 28 September, 2008.
