SINGAPORE Singapore Expo has launched its latest US$1million tiered seating and mobile staging facility. PSA Singapore Expo general manager Mr Steven Seet said: "It is imperative that Singapore Expo keeps itself competitive and relevant in the marketplace, especially with the increasing regional competition. "Our latest facility opens up new market segments and offers greater flexibility to our customers. They are now able to configure the seating and staging and all other arrangements exactly the way they want it and not be constrained by fixed structures." The facility is a modular system on wheels that allows mobility and enables any configuration to be created. The seating system also creates raised-seating platforms in varying heights and widths, from 1.3m to a maximum height of 6.2m. Set-up time for the tiered seating and mobile stage would take up to two days. The layout of the seating and stage can form permutations ranging from quarter hall to a full hall, in varying formations of fan-shaped, classroom-style, theatre-style, banquet, U-shape or a straight seating arrangement among other configurations.
