The September 1 revamp saw the paper relaunch Sunday Plus as Sunday Life.
Daily sections include arts features on Monday, followed by travel on Tuesday, movies on Wednesday, fashion on Thursday, music on Friday, design on Saturday and lifestyle features on Sunday.
Peter Khoo, Singapore press Holdings' assistant vice-president of branding and promotions, said the relaunch would help the paper create a readership following for the daily sections.
In turn, it would allow the paper to alert marketers to targeted advertising opportunities.
"About eight years ago, we had problems getting advertisers, but the editors have done a fabulous job of improving content, he said.
Khoo estimated that readership for the Life section, which goes from young to senior readers, had climbed from 78 per cent of readers in 1988 to 95 per cent today.
Days after the relaunch, Khoo said a petrol company, which had steered away from advertising in the section in the past, had expressed interest in the Saturday motoring features.
