Singapore ads push local media sector

The city's media watchdog, MDA, or the Media Development Authority, has launched a campaign to boost the local industry at the MIPCOM trade event held recently at Cannes.

The print, ambient and online advertising executions followed a strategic exercise to consolidate local media companies under the  'Singapore Media Fusion', umbrella which was unveiled in September.

According to Cassandra Tay, director of communi-cations at MDA: "Singapore Media Fusion is a consolidation of the collective strengths of our media industry."

MDA worked with Interbrand to develop the new strategic positioning.

'Made in Singapore' ads will run in global trade magazines, billboards, cars and online. M&C Saatchi also recently launched a web portal for Singapore Media Fusion.
