SIM appoints DDB for Global Education business

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Institute of Management (SIM Group) has hired DDB as creative agency for its Global Education business in Singapore following a three-way pitch.

SIM Global Education (SIM GE) offers high quality academic programmes through partnerships with established international universities and institutions from the US, UK, Australia and Switzerland.

The account had previously been handled by Grey, which won the brief following a pitch with Tribal DDB in 2008.

With the latest appointment, DDB and Tribal DDB will now oversee the entire portfolio of SIM accounts. Tribal will continue its work on UniSIM and SIM Professional Development (SIM PD) while Global Education is handled by DDB.

UniSIM, Singapore's first and only privately funded university, had appointed Tribal DDB as creative AOR for the launch of its corporate and recruitment campaigns this year in December 2008.

Tribal DDB had been previously tasked to develop local and regional integrated communications to position the SIM PD brand across various print and digital disciplines.

The accounts came into play last year, when SIM Group’s former creative agency M&C Saatchi closed.

SIM Group and DDB could not be reached at press time for further comment.
