Siam Commercial Bank splits creative between Lowe and Leo Burnett

BANGKOK - Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), one of Thailand's largest banks, has divided its creative business between Lowe and Leo Burnett following a pitch.

Lowe will handle the consumer products and retail part of the business including credit cards, while Leo Burnett will handle the bank's corporate account.

The bank had shortlisted three agencies including McCann Erickson.


SCB was the first bank in Thailand, having launched in 1907. It operates a nationwide branch and ATM network, and also offers business relationship centres.

As of June 2009, SCB had the highest market capital among Thai Financial Institutions (US$7 billion) and has an asset size of $32 million - the third highest in the kingdom.

Other big players in the banking sector include Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn Bank.
