SIA to shortlist three

SINGAPORE - Three agencies are to be selected from the eight short-listed for the S$100 million (US$60 million) creative pitch for Singapore Airlines (SIA), according to sources.

The eight contenders, which include incumbent Batey, Publicis, TBWA, Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, DDB, Y&R and the newly created Bates-Ogilvy unit, Gold, will conclude their presentations this week, from which three will be chosen for a further round of presentations.

A decision on which three will contest the next round is expected by the end of this week. Agencies have been asked to position the airline as "the brand for air travel now, and the next 10 years", according to the briefing document, and find ways to drive more traffic to the airline's website.
