SIA keeps an eye on luxury with thematic campaign for new A380

SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines has launched its second wave of advertising since handing its global creative account to TBWA\ Singapore last April.

The campaign marks a departure from the airline’s product-focused advertising by focusing on the luxuriousness of its fleet of A380 double-decker jumbo jets, launched at the end of 2007.

In one spot for SIA’s new business class, a man sits on a mountainside, flanked by the A380’s double windows. His surroundings then become the inside of the plane. The endline reads: ‘New business class on board the A380. The most spacious the world has ever seen.’

The TVCs were directed by Iceland’s Arni & Kinski. Christopher Doyle, famed for his collaborations with acclaimed film director Wong Kar-Wai, was director of photography.
