Shogun burger makes Hong Kong return with DDB TVC

HONG KONG - McDonald's has kicked off a new campaign to mark the return of its popular Shogun pork burger, which has been absent from menus since 2004.

The TVC-led campaign has been developed by DDB with OMD handling media planning and buying. The spot has been produced with a movie-trailer feel, and shows samurai soldiers fighting a war, with the winning soldier served the burger by a Japanese woman dressed in a kimono.

The teriyaki-flavoured burger will be available in more than 200 McDonald’s outlets in Hong Kong from this Thursday.
