Shirtless A&F greeters a daily fixture on Orchard Road

SINGAPORE - Male greeters with only bright red tight sweat pants will be a daily fixture along Orchard Road until the opening of apparel brand Abercrombie & Fitch's (A&F) flagship store here this Thursday (15 December).

In keeping with tradition, 40 A&F guys, selected from stores in the USA, Japan, Italy, England, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Germany and Belgium, will be in attendance for the week leading up to the opening.

The PR firm behind this activation is Fulford PR.

The store in Singapore will span over 33,000 sq m at Knightsbridge Orchard Road. A post on A&F's Facebook page shows that the company is still hiring shirtless greeters.

This marketing move came after a sexy teaser poster in June at its Knightsbridge store, which was subsequently removed in October for the next phase of construction. The oversized advertisement featuring a topless man with a six-pack and jeans slung way down low - too low for many conservative Singapore citizens.
