Shenzhen hosts successful fabric and textile fair

SHENZHEN Intertextile Pavilion at the 2006 Shenzhen International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories recorded a successful three-day event that was held from July 25-27.

The show attracted 6,443 trade buyers from 15 countries and regions with the objective of reaching new buyers from South China. Ronald Chiu of Samil Knit from Korea said: "Being a large fabric supplier, we were interested in meeting high-quality buyers from South China and this show was definitely the right place for us." Shirley Wong from Hong Shi Nian Clothes Fu Liao Zhi Ping Factory, one of the Chinese exhibitors. said: "In the past, we were mainly concentrating on meeting buyers from Hong Kong and overseas. "This trade show is the ideal place to meet up with customers from south China face-to-face. We reached our goals during the three days of the fair." The buyers at Intertextile Pavilion were predominately end users with 52 per cent of the overall total, 18 per cent were from trading companies, eight per cent from import and export corporations and five per cent were from wholesalers.
