Shanghai electronic show attracts industry buyers

SHANGHAI Thousands of buyers from around the globe, including Motorola, Sharp and Brookstone, have registered to attend the China Sourcing Fair: Electronics and Components at Shanghai Mart and INTEX on October 10 to 12.

The show will offer international buyers more than 1,000 booths showcasing electronics products offered by manufacturers from of Greater China and Asia. Merle A. Hinrichs, Global Sources chairman and chief executive officer, said: "With more than 1,000 booths confirmed, this China Sourcing Fair offers buyers 25 per cent more new sourcing options than the spring show and is the largest specialised electronics fair of its kind in China." China Sourcing Fairs' vendor summits allow buyers to introduce their companies and outline their sourcing requirements to groups of preselected exhibitors. The October show's vendor summits will be held by companies including Brookstone, Samsung, Mueller Electric and members of the World- Wide Retail Exchange, an organisation representing many of the world's largest retailers. Guest speakers from HSBC China, Texas Instruments, TNT and Philips Semiconductors will lead related seminars at the show.
