Shanghai divas bring a dose of nostalgia to upscale retailer
<P>Fashion brand Shanghai Tang has gone back in time with a series of nostalgic print ads promoting its Autumn / Winter 06 'Shanghai Redux' collection.</P> <P>Running in print media across Hong Kong and China, with plans to launch globally, the new push seeks to revive Shanghai's 1930s heyday, with the print spots aiming to mimic cigarette girl advertisements and calendars. </P> <P>"We wanted to transport the customer or viewer back into this fabled ea, and to inspire them with nostalgia for the glamour and decadence of that period," said Joanne Ooi, creative director, Shanghai Tang. "No-one has ever created such images for an ad campaign," Ooi added.</P> <P>Shot by Eugenio Recuenco from photography house Fast Management, the print burst will run for six months.</P>
