Shanghai Daily inks deals with Publicitas, Maze

SHANGHAI - The in-house advertising division of Shanghai Daily has inked new sales rep deals with Publicitas in Shanghai and Maze Strategic Marketing in Hong Kong.

The partnerships will involve selling advertising to different market segments for Shanghai Daily, the main English language daily in the Yangtze delta. Shanghai Daily’s readership encompasses white-collar Chinese readers, expats and business professionals.

Publicitas will be in charge of selling all classified advertising, in addition to categories such as banks and financial services, property and entertainment. Maze Strategic Marketing will be focussing on luxury product advertising.

The newspaper is hoping that the new partnerships will boost ad revenue, giving the paper a solid base for expansion ahead of the Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai Expo.
