SINGAPORE Sentosa Island's two deluxe resorts are positioning themselves for more conference and incentive (C&I) visitors with the introduction of new spa facilities. Beaufort Hotel will be launching Spa Botanica on a 6,000sqm site and a new seafood restaurant, The Cliff. The amenities open in November. General manager Mr Anthony Ross, said the hotel is positioning itself as an alternative to Bintan, Bali and Phuket. Spa Botanica will have 14 indoor and six outdoor treatment pavilions. The outdoor pavilions will be set amidst tropical gardens, pools and two labyrinths. "We will create packages specifically for C&I visitors. To complement our team-building, programmes we will create break-style yoga and relaxation sessions," Mr Ross said. "We can also have all our treatment facilities available between a conference." There will be 22 treatments rooms and with outdoor areas, the spa can host up to 80 delegates. The spa at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort does not belong to the property. However, the management is finalising plans to build its own spa to complement meeting facilities. The spa is expected to be launched early next year. Spokeswoman Ms Philomena Ang said. "With this new spa, I foresee a lot more packages with a spa element, including meeting packages."
