Seema Sood to head new events and PR division at Leo Burnett

MUMBAI - Leo Burnett has appointed Seema Sood to head its new events and public relations division as director.

The new division will handle events and communications for Leo Burnett and the agency's clients where events are a part of their marketing or HR programmes.

Sood rejoins Leo Burnett where she organised Goafest for the first two years and started award-winning social responsibility cell LeoHop.

She has also worked at Mudra and Ambience Publicis over 12 years of agency experience and big clients like Westside, Nerolac Paints, Heinz and Philips.

Over the last three years she was COO of Salaam Bombay Foundation.

Speaking on the launch of this new initiative, Aravind Sharma, chairman of India subcontinent at Leo Burnett, said, "We have been working with some of our clients on specially conceptualised world class events. Now with Seema and her valuable experience with us, we are looking forward to expanding this division dramatically.”

Sood adds that Leo Burnett has always been home and she looks forward to applying her experience gained working in the social sector to her thinking at Leo Burnett.
