Seed Heritage has chosen Hong Kong as the location for its first store outside of Australia.
The brand’s 2,500 square-foot store three-story flagship in a prime shopping spot on Queen’s Road in Central opened last weekend. It also has a second store opening at the Peninsula Hotel Arcade in Kowloon, with plans for further expansion into Hong Kong and China.
A spokesperson for Ogilvy Public Relations, which has worked with the brand for a few years, said that the store openings in Hong Kong open an exciting chapter in the brand's ongoing expansion plans.
"We are absolutely thrilled to be expanding the Seed Heritage range so rapidly in such a thriving and cosmopolitan city,” said Denise Haughey, general manager of Seed Heritage. “Our flagship store, set in the prestigious Queen's Road Central, will not only build the future of the brand, but also bring a fresh new look for stylish shoppers in Hong Kong."
A number of international fashion brands have been mushrooming up in Hong Kong over the past year. Seed Heritage’s opening follows the debut of American Eagle Outfitters at Harbour City last year, that brand's first flagship outlet in the Asia Pacific region.
Gap, has also returned to Hong Kong, opening its store in Central last December. Forever 21 debuted its store in shopping hotspot Causeway Bay last month. And Abercrombie & Fitch is set to open its first Hong Kong location in Central, overtaking the old Shanghai Tang shop in Pedder Street.
