Seah set to replace Singh at MindShare Singapore

Starcom veteran Jeffrey Seah is poised to join GroupM Singapore to succeed current MindShare CEO Manpreet Singh (pictured), who departs after being with the agency since its creation in 1997.

Seah, who took on a new role as regional director of diversified services operations at Starcom earlier this year, ends a decade-long association with the Publicis Groupe agency, to become MD of its GroupM rival.

In addition to MindShare, he is also expected to take on a GroupM role. The island state does not currently have a GroupM leader, in contrast to other markets in Asia, although GroupM Malaysia CEO Henry Tan is strongly tipped for this role.

Seah's arrival follows the news that MindShare Singapore MD Deepika Nikhilender will shift into a new consulting role at the agency when she returns from a sabbatical in January (Media, 31 October).

While Seah and Tan declined to comment, Singh confirmed the move, and added that he would not stay within the GroupM network when he leaves MindShare at year-end. Singh has been with the WPP Group for 16 years, including a previous role at JWT's media operation.
