SCTV selects MEC

JAKARTA - MEC has been awarded the media account of Indonesian TV station Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), wresting the business from incumbent Matari without a pitch.

The brief will include programme launches and media ratings reports for the TV station among local and regional newspapers and print media.

The full brief plus media budget and the length of contract - believed to be two years - have yet to be finalised.

“The business is a natural progression of our working relationship with the TV station, we’re their client as well," said Intan Sukmawati, MD of MEC Indonesia.

SCTV is one of the largest TV broadcasting stations in Indonesia and is owned by PT Surya Citra Media group. The TV station achieved 17 per cent audience share in 2007.
