SATELLITE & CABLE: Star TV and CWHKT set new JV terms

<p>Star TV and Cable & Wireless HKT have signed the terms of their </p><p>joint venture to provide a full range of interactive home entertainment, </p><p>digital TV and Internet services in Hong Kong and Asia region as </p><p>well. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The new company, with the name yet to be finalised, will use Cable & </p><p>Wireless HKT's broadband network, interactive television and Internet </p><p>services; and Star TV's premium television content and expertise in </p><p>satellite broadcasting, media and programming. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The joint venture company is initially 60 per cent owned by Cable & </p><p>Wireless HKT, with the potential increasing to 70 per cent. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
