Discovery Networks International will launch two global channels,
Discovery Health and Discovery Travel & Adventure.
Discovery Health will roll out as a 24-hour channel in Europe and Latin
America and as a branded programming block in Asia and India.

America and as a programming block in India.
With total market value of US$10.6 billion, Discovery has
committed to investing US$100 million to the international
launches of both new channels.
"Discovery Health and Discovery Health & Adventure are strong, unique
channels that perfectly complement and strengthen our global family of
services," said Ms Dawn McCall, Discovery International president.
Discovery Health offers a modern guide to healthy living with
programming that covers a wide range of topics from fitness to medical
breakthroughs.
Meanwhile, Discovery Travel & Adventure is promising to feature
adventures that are "guaranteed to raise adrenaline levels" and will
introduce audiences to both well-travelled and little-known
destinations.
In addition to the launch of the two channels, Discovery is launching
localised websites around the world, tailored to specific language and
cultural preferences, with an eye on local market opportunities.
