Together with Astro and the Association for the Prevention of Dadah

(Pemadam), Channel V has created an anti-drug abuse campaign in

Malaysia.

The campaign will air on Channel V's international feed on the Astro

platform until next month and both entities will assist Pemadam in

promoting awareness of drug abuse among young Malaysians.

Channel V produced special endorsements from top artistes including

Christina Aguilera, 'N Sync, Hanson, B Witched, Aqua and Britney

Spears.

Meanwhile, in China, Channel V, Guangzhou TV and eight mainland stations

have teamed up with Philips to present a concert series, called Philips

Channel V Face to Face.

The series will be premiere on Channel V Greater China and the mainland

stations, featuring the popular mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong artists'

concerts.

Channel V network commercial director Jasper Donat said the venture

would enable the music channel to deliver another totally integrated

advertising and promotion campaign in China.

Distributed to 323 million terrestrial viewers and 25 million Channel V

homes, the series will be jointly hosted by Channel V VJs and variety

show hosts from the mainland stations.
