Walt Disney Television International will launch the Disney Channel
Asia, with multi-territory feeds which will initially cover several
Asean countries. Disney Channel Asia is now managed by Mr Raymund
Miranda, managing director of the network, based in Manila. The network
will be adding new territories on a regular basis, said Walt Disney
International Asia-Pacific senior VP for broadcasting and MD Robin
Paxton. "Discussion are already at advanced stages for new markets to
join in under the Disney Channel Asia signal," he said.
