SATELLITE & CABLE: Briefings - MTV, ACNielsen form research pact

<p>ACNielsen and MTV Networks Asia have signed a three-year contract </p><p>for a broad portfolio of media research services across China, Taiwan, </p><p>India, Indonesia and the Philippines. The contract also provides for </p><p>expanded TV ratings services for cable and satellite in other Asian </p><p>markets. The contract covers: </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- Peoplemeter TV ratings and adex services in 10 major cities in </p><p>China; </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- Extensions and/or renewals to Peoplemeter services in Taiwan, the </p><p>Philippines, India and Indonesia; </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- Extension of Cabsat and NetWatch services, including Hong Kong and </p><p>Korea; and </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>- An option for MTV to add Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and </p><p>Thailand TV ratings for cable and satellite, and to add further channel </p><p>services from MTV Networks, such as Nickleodeon. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In India, MTV became the first non advertising agency to win the Ad </p><p>Works VII trophy for excellence in advertising works created by the </p><p>channel's in-house team. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Meanwhile, the annual MTV-Billboard music conference, to be held at the </p><p>Hong Kong Convention Centre in June, will be themed: "The Future of </p><p>Music: Content & Convergence". </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
