<p>AXN Action TV has launched the first made-in-China action sports </p><p>and adventure programme, AXN The Series, which reaches 17 million </p><p>households in 17 major cities and provinces. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Hosted by Beijing cable television talents Cao Xiao Lei and Li Jing, the </p><p>series presents real life adventure footage from around the world. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>AXN The Series is sponsored by sports and leisure wear brand </p><p>Converse. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In China, AXN is available in more than 5,000 hotel rooms and VIP </p><p>compounds throughout the day and the action channel will introduce more </p><p>day part programming in key cities and provinces. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The China version of AXN The Series is among the first programmes AXN </p><p>will tailor-make for the Chinese market. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>AXN has meanwhile reported a surge in prime-time ratings in India - the </p><p>channel is among the leading international cable channels for viewers </p><p>aged 15 and over. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"In October, AXN put in its strongest ratings performance ever in both </p><p>Taiwan and India, indicating recent scheduling and programming changes </p><p>are hitting the mark with viewers in these markets," said Mr Ricky Ow, </p><p>sales and marketing vice-president. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"In Taiwan, as part of a month-long line-up of (Arnold) Schwarzenegger </p><p>programmes, AXN scored its best-ever single rating of 1.4 with the </p><p>action blockbuster Terminator 2," added Mr Ow. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
