AXN has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Cable TV in Hong

Kong, reaching more than 470,000 subscribers.

"Hong Kong is a crucial market for regional television networks. It's

also without doubt the action and adventure capital of Asia, known for

its love of action programming," said Mr Todd Miller, AXN managing

director.

The Hong Kong distribution deal came after the carriage pacts with Macau

Cable and Philippines' SkyCable; AXN is now available in nearly 17

million households throughout Asia.

"In Asia's most competitive cable markets such as India and the

Philippines, AXN is amongst the top international channels on the basic

(tier)," said Mr Miller.

In the Philippines, AXN has surged into the top ranks after only four

weeks since its launch on SkyCable, with weekly reach of 1.1 million

viewers in greater Manila.

"As the channel further cements its position in the regional market, we

expect the network's popularity to grow even higher among viewers and

advertisers," he added.

Meanwhile, AXN has won the distribution rights to air the Eco-Challenge

Sabah 2000, which will also be broadcast on AXN Japan, AXN Latin

American and AXN Spain.
