Sanrio Digital appoints Ferrari VP publishing and business development

HONG KONG - Gaming developer Sanrio Digital has appointed Robert Ferrari as vice-president of publishing and business development, charged with managing the business of virtual games including Hello Kitty Online.

According to Sanrio, Ferrari was selected for the role because of his previous experience in the interactive game sector, which includes the post of vice-president business development at Turbine, the gaming publisher responsible for The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online.

Prior to his work at Turbine, Ferrari was VP of sales and business development at Philips Electronics, VP of business development at Websurfer and executive VP of sales and marketing at Merinta.

Ferrari will be based in Boston and will assemble a US team that aims to drive Sanrio Digital’s games, virtual worlds and social networks to global users.
