Samsung uses artwork from its Galaxy Note for out-of-home campaign

KUALA LUMPUR – Samsung has created an out-of-home campaign for its Galaxy Note smartphone/tablet hybrid that uses artwork drawn on the device.

Leo Burnett, the agency behind the campaign, said it wanted to avoid just displaying shots of the product and its features and instead demonstrate what the product can actually do.

The campaign sees the Masjid Jamek station and the KLCC/Aquaria tunnel decorated with artwork drawn on the Galaxy Note.

The campaign also includes QR codes in an effort to allow people to interact with the artwork. Mobile users scanning the codes are taken to random search results for dating tips, information on local attractions or videos of the best wedding proposals.

Leo Burnett said the project was an "opportunity to breathe life into the city of KL" and be "as authentic as we could to the product by using the Galaxy Note as the tool to illustrate and draw the campaign".
