Samsung hands creative business to Leo Burnett in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Samsung has handed its creative account to Leo Burnett following a four-way pitch that involved BBDO, McCann Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather.

Samsung's creative account in Malaysia was previously being handled by Cheil Communications.

Last year in August, Cheil Worldwide closed its operation in Malaysia as part of a global restructuring initiative. A source from the agency’s headquarters in Seoul confirmed the news of its closing last year, explaining that Cheil planned to focus on China, India, Singapore and Thailand instead.

A Leo Burnett spokesperson was not able to confirm the news.
