According to a statement from the company, Ezekiel will lead the corporate marketing function in the market as well as develop and execute corporate marketing strategies.
Samsung achieved sales of US$3.5 billion in India last year and is targeting growth of 40 per cent in 2011.
Ezekiel's move to the Korean electronics firm follows a period of more than 23 years in the FMCG sector, 16 of which were spent at Johnson & Johnson. While at Johnson & Johnson, Ezekiel served as regional franchise director of baby care and vice-president of marketing for the consumer division in India.
His career has also included stints at Colgate Palmolive and Geoffrey Manners.
