Saatchis pulls out of NETS pitch

SINGAPORE - Saatchi & Saatchi has pulled out of the NETS pitch leaving BBDO and one other agency in the fray.

Ogilvy & Mather and NETS’ existing creative agency Alchemy, had earlier declined to participate in the pitch.

According to sources, an important component of the NETS brief involves promotions of its upcoming mobile payment service with SingTel and United Overseas Bank, which is currently under trial. BBDO is likely to be favoured in this pitch as it already handles SingTel.

NETS had handed over its media account to Mindshare in July and was in the news recently for launching a six-month mobile payment trial.

The e-payment operator has been facing increasing competition lately.
