Saatchis drops out of Maxis race

KUALA LUMPUR - Saatchi & Saatchi has confirmed it is the second agency to drop out of the RM200 million (US$60 million) Maxis creative review.

Last week Lowe pulled out of the pitch, which requires agencies to be of a certain size and scope. Five agencies remain in the running: incumbents Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO and Leo Burnett, and newcomers Y&R and Grey.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian telco has hired a new head of marketing for its postpaid business, Allan Khoo. Khoo, formerly of HSBC, replaces Leena Rashid, who left a year ago.
