Saatchi Singapore hires digital duo

SINGAPORE - Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore has boosted its interactive capability with the hire of Nathan Hackstock as digital creative director and Simon Lazenby (pictured) as digital business director.

The dual signing ends a long search for digital leadership at the agency which has been looking to update its reputation for award-winning - but traditional - creative work.

"We have been looking for some time for a world class digital thought leadership team that can be the change agents our creative culture is yearning for," said Michael Rebelo, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore. "Both Nathan and Simon represent that."

Hackstock joins from Clemenger BBDO in Sydney, where he was digital ECD. Before Clemenger, Hackstock was part of the team which set up the digital component of TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles.

Lazenby was previously head M&C Saatchi Melbourne's digital offering.

“We are not setting up a silo digital organisation at Saatchi Singapore," Rebelo added. "Nathan will be teaming up with our creative leaders - Richard [Copping], Andrew [Petch] and John [Kyrikou], to ensure that technology is driving our creative solutions at every turn with inspiration and innovation."
